One of his coaches tried to break him of the habit, telling him to *think!* Next at bat, a pitch comes right down the middle, Yogi watches it go by. Second pitch, same thing. Third pitch, ump says Yerrr Out! Yogi goes back to the bench and the coach lays into him. 'Didn't you see those pitches?' Yeah I saw them, said Yogi. 'I told you to *think*' Yeah, I was thinking, said Yogi. 'Then why didn't you hit 'em?' I can't think and hit at the same time, said Yogi.
