others I can't think of at the moment.
Been there a few times for children's shows with the house packed with school kids from throughout the Bay Area, enthralled by the
Symphony's (and MMT's) performance chosen especially for them. THAT'S a great program to introduce kid's of every economic bracket to classical/live music and hopefully bridging the distance of those worlds.
Our school takes Muni to get there.
Growing up here, the Opera House was much the same for us when young (world's apart), but then it's... opera, so it never really stuck.
