Luminator

I am briefly working in San Francisco, and along the way, I pass Davies Symphony Hall. I grew up less than two miles from here. Yet, because my family was not rich, we were a world apart and away. By the time I enrolled in SFUSD schools, budgets for art were slashed, so we never got to go to Davies, not even for those children's concerts.

By the time my classmates and I got to high school, we preferred to go to rock concerts at the Stone, Warfield, Slim's, Great American Music Hall, the Fillmore, Bill Graham Civic, and the Cow Palace.

Only as an adult, did I get to go to Davies.
