So? How IS Timbo doing one week later?

I am still quite sore inside under the RHS groin area. Very numb across the surface, and I do hope that goes away in time.

The other site being smaller is less sore, but it isn't numb.

I will have to be very careful and slow for a few more weeks. No lifting, no twisting. Being slow and smooth is difficult for me and I will have to be very watchful.

Everything now mostly works, although full and extensive testing of some bits is not allowed for some weeks yet! ;-).

I've been walking around the block, and even cooking*, but I can't be on my feet for longer than 30 minutes.

Sunday I cooked a beef casserole. A pound of chuck steak 3-4cm cubed and then _seared_ to mahogany crisp - in the oil and fat from searing a fair bit of bacon chips. Deglaze pan with a cup of red wine, add finely diced onions, and a bit later a big squeeze of minced garlic from a tube#. Fry off until clear, return bacon chips and all else. Add one can of red kidney beans drained and washed, 300 gms of chopped mushrooms, 400 gms of diced carrots. Add two finely (.25-4") diced potatoes to thicken and simmer for a long time. Serve with a green salad over steamed rice.

But now it's raining - see weather post - and will for several days, 60mm yesterday in 4 hrs. So, walking up and down the hall at home is the go until it stops.

Overall, I am pleasantly surprised at the speed of recovery. Keyhole surgery is manifestly a good idea.

Part of my view/feelings could be my unconscious memories from 1953/4, comparing this to back then? ;-)

We are going to attend a midday concert of some of Mozart's middle period piano and violin sonatas. On A late 18C Italo/British violin and a replica of a Walther Viennese Action forte-piano. Last concert used a Stein replica. The violinist IS a babe. With whom I will flirt discretely.

I won't be driving, not insured, and will need to be careful getting down into and up out of the car. I had to do that on Tuesday last and it HURT!
