Granted it's desolate (although only 18 min from the city), hot, arid, rattlesnakes, coyotes (watch your cats, small dogs :), but then again, any area 30 miles East of the Ocean will be.A side hobby of mine; looking at properties (not just So Cal, but all over the U.S.); every now and then an exceptional (IMO) home will show up. Saw one in Lakeside about 6 months ago that sat high up on a mountain with front door 180 degree views of the lake, and back deck views of the Western Sunsets. Simply stunning.
