Those nicks on the valve cover, reminds of a magazine story about a particularly well prepared Pro-street Chevy Nova that had a ZR1 engine.

The only way to get that engine at the time, was to buy a Corvette with one in it.

The builder of the Nova was asked how he got it, and replied with "heh heh, let's just say the original owner doesn't need it anymore".
