Most of the intentional navigational beacons are in the Long Wave band i.e. below the AM band. There are lots of beeps and tones everywhere else though too. Actually, some of the interesting ones are very slow fax transmissions of things like weather maps/info, they still do that! [I have a little gadget from many years ago that connects to an audio output, decodes the tones via PC, and displays the image.]
