Executive Suite tells the story of a fight if you will for control of a company when the owner dies. It pits Frederick March's character an accountant who looks only at the bottom line vs William Holdens character who looks at pride in the product and the workers that make it.
Sure its melodramatic but there was a lot of truth in it then and even more now. The cast is full of heavy hitters. Besides March and Holden there is Barbara Stanwyck, Walter Pigeon, Paul Douglass and Nina Foch who won an academy award for her supporting performance.
