Being anti-gay, ISIS was able to locate a train driven by a gay activist on his way to a hot date and attack it. With careful planning, they did it in such a way that the gay person could get blamed, inflaming homophobic feelings across the country.

And it almost worked! Those terrorists are pretty clever, but you are cleverer for seeing through their nefarious plot.
