The 914 was 'Porsche' in the US but Audi in some other markets.
If I were 'gifted' with a vintage Porsche? I think it is the 912 or maybe 912e. While only a 4cyl, and thus not for 'hormone cases', it has many of the virtues of REAL Porsche. Rear engine. Classy bodywork. Good performance for displacement. Good build quality. Can STILL get it worked on by somebody who KNOWS how it works.
While I'm not into the minutia of the model, I'll bet at least a few variants are worthy collectors.
