The situation in Pahoa is getting a bit tense with the creeping Kilauea lava flow. Residents are literally on the hot seat about whether to sit and cook, or split. Many homeowners are staying put, largely because their property has zero value in the present situation.

The New York Times ran an article about it yesterday.
