Why is an NFC v NFC game on CBS?

In the last 20+ years Fox has always had the NFC, CBS the AFC. In an inter-league game the network of the road team aired it. This is why at 1 Lions@Pats was on Fox and Titans@Eagles was on CBS.

So is this some exception or have I missed that other games were on the "wrong" network?

update: I saw the kickoff and it had CBS graphics but before the first play on my station it switched to the Denver game-just switched back-weird
