BTW, did you catch the anecdote Tues. NIte about Clemens facing Gooden In reference to A.L. pitchers being unaware of how hard it is to hit due to the designated hitter:
Clemens, playing in a National League Park and having to hit, asked the Umpire if his pitches looked as terrifying as Gooden's. When answered in the affirmative he told the Ump he'd never throw anything but Fastballs ever again.
Joe Buck, who I never liked, has maybe settled in as a worthy successor to his father. I actually enjoyed his call; maybe not having Tim-Mr. ObviousMcCarver alongside helped.
