Great article about an epic battle in Tiger Stadium 35 years ago when USC (3-0), loaded with the likes of Charles White, Marcus Allen, Ronnie Lott, Anthony Munoz, and tons of blue chippers, faced a no name LSU team (2-0). I haven't read an article yet that captures what it's like to play at Tiger Stadium, in a big game, as well as this one does. One of the USC studs said it "..makes Notre Dame look like Romper Room" in comparison. It's long, but well written, by the standards of the day.I remember listening to the game via a very crappy signal on A.M. radio, plugged into our garage outlet (couldn't get the station inside) in Dallas, as it freekin wasn't on tv.
