we swapped out Grand Marnier for Cointreau years ago. Mucho improvo. Not so sticky-sweet as GM. We also use silver tequila, vs anejo, altho we also like Cazadores reposodo. As good a swap as the Cointreau actually. Silver seems to make for a 'fresher' taste, which you want with the citrus, I think. The other thing we do is shake well with ice then pour them straight up, almost frothy. I've never found one I like better than we can make at home.
