in SF, I would rent the drive way in front of the house and the driveway to the unused garage in the alley behind the house to game goers. Then I'd trot on down to Kezar and watch the fights on the field.
Chico, their long departed equip manager was able to get me 5 1980's autographed footballs, the Super Bowl teams. I was very close friends of Bill Walsh's personal secretary, Nicole.. Who, BTW, had the 3rd story of her passed mom's home filled with Elvis material and keepsakes...Grew up loving and still do the Niners.
YA Tittle lived near us in Mtn. View and we boys made 49er jerseys and played flag ball. YA and McElhany (SPL?) used to come out and play with us. I was 13, I believe, when I caught my first YA Tittle pass....
Things are a tad different nowadays....
