I like that you're going to get yourself something you've always wanted.
Sorry to hear you're going through this trauma, Dean. You've been given lots of great advice, so I'll just repeat the highlights which worked for me.
Keep things as friendly as possible.
Stay physically and mentally active.
Don't jump into another relationship, no matter how temping it may be. Your idea of being alone for a while is a healthy one.
I wish you the best of luck, and thanks for sharing something so intimate with us.
