While I agree with your response, I don't think it naturally follows from Prisoner's post. That is, I don't see him condemning the MSM in all respects or pushing the blogosphere as an alternative, at least not in this posts (or others).
The race to exclusivity has in fact lead to a lot of reckless new reporting in the MSM, including in the NYT not to long ago.
But yes, the MSM is a helluva lot more reliable than at least most of the alternatives out there. IMNSHO, that is. :-)
