In Reply to: I know it's "only" soccer… but anyone here wildly excited about the Brazil-hosted World Cup beginning in six posted by tinear on April 16, 2014 at 15:27:50:
It's like watching paint dry.They play for 90 minutes, another 4 or 5 for "extra time", whatever the hell that is, and the score is 0-0. Then they have a kickoff to see who wins.
Simple solution: Have the kickoff and the whole thing can be over in 10 minutes.
Edit: Oh yes, and all those exciting youtube moments. Somebody scores a goal! Goal! Yes, truly exciting. Or, somebody misses a goal. How awful.
For every youtube minute of actual action there's hundreds, if not thousands of hours of watching paint dry.
