Is the VPI TNT MK III with the optional plythe 3-pulley system that acts as the motor to platter isolator. Anyway, I was taking about the Studer PR 99 MKII two-track reel to reel machine that sits behind the turntable that you obviously missed :). I have been doing some recordings from it lately employing the 15IPS speed. The sound of the recording is extremely musical as if you're listening to the source. The only problem with it is when you use the 15IPS speed the 2.25 mile long tape only lasts 45 minutes, which by the way is the normal spinning time for a vinyl, but not cd.
Oh well, I guess you can't have everything.
If a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing well
