Sure, an assassin assassinates people for a living, but to be very good at it.....
Like most, I'm sure, I've been bombarded with the news about the H1N1 virus. It's everywhere, yet it is nowhere, because it seems to be a very distant thing. At least it seemed distant until last night.
My brother in law, a 45-year old guy who maybe cracked a beer open on a fishing trip once, and still thinks "shucks" is a curse word, didn't feel very well this last Friday. He decided to stay home, marking his second sick day in over twenty years.
By noon he was coughing up blood, so my sister promptly nagged him to the doctor's office. One thing led to another, and the next thing you know he is sitting in an emergency room being told he has the H1N1 virus. He was going through "business as usual" in the emergency room -- if you've been there, you know -- and then on Sunday afternoon it was all over. Just like that, he was gone.
Wow. H1N1 is suddenly on the doorstep.
