Thursday and Friday off for a cricket match then the weekend, celebrated in the last week of July. Jolly old pissup. Apparently there is in fact a cricket match being played during the event, but no-one's ever seen it owing to Crown and Anchor tents, fast food stalls and other fairground activities getting in the way.
