Thank goodness . . .

the Japanese occupation of China during WWII did not interfere with the invention of gun powder! Could you imagine how much longer that war would have lasted if we were jousting and hitting each other with maces! Also notwithstanding the occupation, the Chinese invented the time machine, which is the only reason we shot each other with guns in prior wars. Too bad the Japanese eventually found the only copy of the design and destroyed it!
