but for a large dog, 11 yrs is a good life. We humans live long enuf to outlast several dogs, which means we go thru this several times in our lives. But think of the good times they bring us, and visa versa. and remember how to tell the difference between a wife and a dog: lock them both in the trunk of your car for a couple hours. your dog will be the one who's happy to see you.
