A good thing to try is a cup of 5 min rice mixed with their food. Our Vet reccommeneded that and it worked great to stop the flow.

It's hardfor them to hold the poo if it's all loose pile like.

If the dog looks stressed or is visibally losing weight though, get to the vet.
