I'm getting near the end of my rope with Roscoe. He's a thin 50 pound hound we "rescued" from a nearby neighbor before the county took him away from them for abuse. They had only had him 6 months or so. He has probably been abused all his life. Put your coffee cup down hard on a wood table and he will jump. He's really very sweet and gets along well with other dogs. Our three other dogs never crap in the house. Not even the puppies who are now almost two years old. I calmly rubbed his nose in it and took him outside and tied him on a line. I've done this before and it hasn't helped. For now he will become an outdoor only dog. He is odd in that when you walk him he won't pee or poop in front of you. He will only do so when let free which we can do daily on our five acre lot. Oh and the poop was definitely his, he has a unique signature in that he poops a large loose pyramid shaped poo, not a coiled pile. Any hints on what to do with Roscoe? I'm getting near the end of my rope with him. I do want to smack him but I don't. I'm really starting to hate him for destroying my house. He's not stupid either. He's the only one of the dogs who has figured out how to open the screen door from outside with his nose and paw.
