Well, I guess fire season is officially open here...

Big one starting in the Santa Cruz mountains. Has gone from 700 acres to 1500 acres in the past hour. Really inaccessible terrain for the fire crews. Current winds 20-30mph, with predictions of 50mph later this afternoon.

I'm 35 miles away, and have ash dropping in my parking lot.

Here's to the brave men who put their lives on the line in these disasters. I sincerely hope for no injuries to the crews.
