I've had both the 14 and 16yr Black Maple Hill bourbon and they're both excellent. I don't favor a real sweet or flowery bourbon, so use that as a reference point.

You might also peruse the bourbon reviews in the link below - many of these reviews posted by gentlemen who are bourbon buffs in Kentucky and Georgia so they've had access to small batch "boutique" bourbons for comparison. Useful site.
