it's a very individual thing -- the "best" bourbon is the one YOU like the most, no reflection of any other arbiter of value.

FWIW, Bookers is my fav, I agree it's got a punch, tends to numb the lips, but golly, if you can keep from slugging it down and instead just swish a drop on the tongue, you will not be disappointed.

Haven't tried half of the bourbons on that list though. I'll have to keep my eye out for the Old RVW.
