I've just weighed the smaller of the two bass - bins (? because the wall unit is not symmetrical). And IT weighs 80 pounds or so!
[And/NB! this is without it's much more heavily built baffle /closure panel.
Yet - its Vb is only ~60 litres, and it will have/NEED an ARU/Qtc damper on the back, DIY. The 10" driver's QTS is 1+ as it is!

* ]That bit, and the bigger of the two boxes, and its baffle are down at the local senior college (yrs 11/12) for night class!
I've taken some photographs.
And before I post them, and more from tonight's 3 hrs, do bear in mind that they will be invisible, virtually! So the admittedly very rough surface-finish isn't an issue! The fronts will be covered in some leather-tex/foam with a steel auto-use spkr mesh ring/cover! One side of the smaller bass bin is veneered, as planned.
Materials? an old BIG desk, bs-veneered 1.5 inch top, and drawers! forged steel Braces/hangers from the drawer mechanisms .....!
lots of MDF and chipboard, scrounged / picked up from builders/office rebuild piles, and from the huge scrap bin, down at class!
Oh and a left over pot of tile ridge-capping goop/sand mix!
LOTS and LOTS of screws!!!!!!!As you will see tomorrow.
Layers, pressure-glued and then screwed! 'Shear-force damping' is its technical name, IIRC. Very stiff too, and lost of mass damping to boot!
DEAD? ohhh yes!The OB's? - Alnico Magnet 6"WR drivers! That fashion-freak Timbo is at it again!!! The OB's are from the desk-top! Like swinging cupboard doors either side of the 70cm WS teeve!
