Working on a tripod that I tightened the locking nut too tightly and cracked the head that holds the shaft of the tripod. "Addy's got something in her mouth! Oh, thanks, Addy, I didn't realize there were two of those!"
Next day, there's just one of the tensioning nylon washers on the table where I was working...uh, oh.
Barb finds it slightly chewed, but still O.K. to use. Glue cracked collar, next day...it didn't stick! Re-glue, this time carefully placing weight on the piece so the joint welds...balancing act. Cat knocks it off. Replace.
Next day, glue job is perfect. Go to put it together and another part that was there just the day before is missing. Addy? I don't know, I haven't found it yet.

Decide to change MDF boards on the rack to the maple boards I have on another unused rack. HAD to change the spikes, what a damned hassle! If I'd stayed with the spikes already on the shelf (more than adequate), it would have been a five minute job. 3 hours later I was still fussing with trying to get ONE of the spikes that just didn't want to go into the hole...3 HOURS! I gave up and just said the heck with it, I'll mess with that spike another time and used another one. I'm spike rich, why did I have to worry about that one!
Next: Who knows...but the string has to continue...the cartridge, then the tripod, then the shelf...who knows...maybe the shadow?
