My commute takes me through the Santa Clara Valley, an area used for many movies, so it is common to see some unusual things happening. Black helicopters flying in formation, aircraft performing simulated crashes, fake railroad tunnels, ads for pretend politicians, a vintage 1920's circus, you name it. And it is obvious that somebody thinks there will be another Hollywood strike, because there are movie sets galore in operation right now.
But today I saw something that caused my mental clutch to slip a bit. A herd of uniformed -- and very real -- police officers running through a field with butterfly nets. Now that makes no sense.
Enough of that. On weekday mornings at 10:00 Pacific, one of the LA FM stations abandon their usual (dry and boring) format and plays some pretty interesting music. I think I mentioned this before, didn't I? In any case, you can drop in and listen once in awhile if you want using the link provided below. Somedays the music isn't so hot, but everyday this week has been great.
