And, I did more than enough drinking IN the h'army anyway!
For me, Anzac Day is a day to remember quietly, both my Grandad (Pardy as he was known to us) and Dad, and all the others!
Including the USN and USMC - Coral Sea, and Guadalcanal, .......
and, if pushed, .....
that utterly hopeless National Guard division that failed so utterly at Buna and Gona! Poor bastards didn't have a clue what they were getting in to!

PS for the yanks here, the RSL or Returned & Servicemen's League is also known as the rissole here. As many towns have RSL clubs, where you can DRINK and gamble on the pokies, we may be heard to ask ...
