couple of thoughts on your earlier comments from critic's corner( which got archived so fast i didnt get a chance to respond)
there are some denizens that are unfailingly civil and are therefore mostly treated that way in return. a great example, as far as i've seen, is ted smith. the guy is always polite, and anyone that's not likewise with him is a tool, in my book.
however, others, like you and me, vary considerably in the tone in which we react to people. i have absolutely no issue with someone being aggressive/sarcastic/immature/any damn way they please with me, as long as i get to have the fun of responding. everyone has their own reaction, obviously, but to me this is fun stuff, and it ceases to be interesting if someone responds to me in the above manner and my responses and the whole exchange gets deleted, because of what i perceive to be 'favored son' status (re: your comment that you are somewhat involved with 'the bored' and do work here sometimes). my understanding is that the rules of the forum dictate that everyone is civil to each other, but that seems to gets enforced in an asymmetric manner. i understand that's tough luck, just venting my opinion.
bottom line - come at me anytime, i don't take it personally, but allow me to come back without getting bent and getting me deleted. alternatively, be like ted! but you can't have it both ways; well, you can, in the asylum world, just not in my fantasy world.
