I try not to wear it on my sleeve, but here it's related to my audio inquiry! :-)
I'm managing well, and have amazing family, friends, colleagues and clients, who are sensitive to the condition when they should be and seemingly unaware of it when they should be. My wife is the best! It's very uplifting to see how good most people can be.
Now, there are exceptions, particularly when one is out and about dealing with "the public", but that's mostly just folks trying to get through their own day without thinking too much, which is human nature, but sometimes disheartening. And it's hard not to feel defined by a disease, particularly when you get stared at while sitting in a wheelchair or inching along with a cane. Good thing I AM SO DAMN CUTE (chicks dig me), because I can usually charm people, especially women, into wanting to help me! It's true, kind of - Sometimes to the mild irritation of my wife, though usually with a good natured chuckle by her when it happens! HAR! Oh, to be disabled and vain and full of conceit at the same time! What a life. Just kidding . . . sort of! :-)
I will say that I appreciate those little shiny discs and remote controls more than I use to! :-) I have to negotiate with my wife before an extended LP listening session. But life is full of dolling out bribes!
Oh yeah. I think I'll go with the Klyne. Since I'll only use it as a phono preamp I won't need a remote anyway!
