Well, the alternative ain't much. Relying on others is the hardest part of being handicapped...I've always liked being the HELPER, not the helpee. It's a role that is incredibly difficult to live with and not impart the anger and frustration reliance causes me to feel.

But thank God we have those around us who can help! I keep trying to tell myself it's payback, that all the times I did anything for anyone is now being returned in spades! It's the only way I stay sane.

I imagine I'm more ambulatory than you? That too takes its toll as I tell myself "how can you bitch?" Well, bitching is a way to relieve that anger and frustration. Thus, life is a pain...but then, it always was...it simply changed directions.
