I certainly endorse the vote for back massage...
The first step, once divested of clothing, is to lie face down on a reasonably firm (but no more) massage couch or mattress, with ankles about 1ft apart and a modestly-sized pillow placed to give optimum comfort and support in whatever position you choose to place your head...
The second is that whatever parts of your body are then accessible, but particularly the back, are steadily and lingeringly oiled with appropriate stimulating unguents (options with a distinct sandalwood aroma are particularly recommended)...
The slim (often Eurasian) girl that applied the unguents now takes the initial position on the mattress or massage couch by gently standing so that her bare feet are placed with the heels just slightly resting on your buttocks, and her feet gently splayed on either side of the spine... When you have confirmed that there is no additional discomfort, the girl then in very small stages, and with great sensitivity, very slowly progresses up and down your spine, teasing out tightness in muscle groups in your back and shoulders with her feet in general, and her toes in particular...
After only about one minute of the final stages of such treatment, I confidently suggest that whatever aches and strains you may have felt before the treatment started would now be completely banished from your mind, and that instead you would feel so invigorated that you would probably experience a very strong motivation to involve yourself in intense and energetic physical exercise...
Despite the undoubted benefits of such treatments, as far as I can establish there appear to be no public health services that currently include such treatment in their publicly funded “no-cost” options, so one naturally has to regard such treatment regimes as “privately funded” healthcare, and seek such treatments at alternative premises than local hospitals...
That said, I do regard the experience as certainly being worth the expense, and so much so that there is the continuing temptation to arrange for treatment sessions, even when absolutely no muscle strains are experienced...
Bill.
