As one that only like fresh ground pepper I have come to a good solution for me. Here in the states big grocery stores are a horrible place to by spices both for price and freshness. I use a local Muslim/Halal market. The price is 1/4 of the typical store w/McCormick etc. They bag them in a small plastic bag of a decent thickness. Pliable plastic not the stiff, krinkley sounding thin stuff. I cut a 45 degree cut in one of the top corners. The cut leaves an opening of 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. When I remove my grinder top I place the hole over the metal bolt/stud and pour. The stud helps regulate the flow out of the bag. I rarely spill anymore!
