Hi to all,I sympathise that you are nearly all suffering from heat waves, even in Europe and the UK.
Who says the world's weather hasn't gone weird! Oh yes, I remember now! Shrub, and all his &%@##'g cohorts! Along with right wing cheap foggers aka econ-mists.
Canada AND Spain AND Portugal AND Italy have/had bad fires, how's Cal. - Gary et al?
The very, very cold weather is continuing down here, best snow and ski season here for some years.
If you are in the right spots here you can get views of the Northern edge of the Snowy Mountains area which is the largest area of skiable snow in the world. Basically it is a plateau, just far enough south and just high enough to respond to Antarctic weather.
We are still getting snow falls on the ranges to the south /west about starting a mile or two away. The icing sugar shaker effect. Bloody wind chill.
We (MMI, 'Trisha and John boy), are battling a very nasty flu virus -- about 4 days now. Very little sleep, coughing out the post nasal drip, the skin of our noses and mouths red from the scraping of many many tissues, etc. AND then even the Aloe Vera soothing creams we use stings!
AND I can't read a book without risking coughing all over it.
Got up for the 3rd time last night at 5 am - coughing, pharyngitis, nearly drowning from post nasal drip, and after I had used sevearl tissues - took 2 more Paracetamol, another glass or two of water, had a pee etc. THEN deal with Georgeous George the manic moggy. So I locked him, and me, in the study and got on the PC and the 'net.
Robert is now getting the virus too. It is different for each of us.
We have already gone through 5 boxes of tissues, and heaps of Codral 'cold and flu' tabs, and Paracetamol.
Not a good time, we're all grumpy, short fused etc.
And, now, it is sleeting!
As Moley would say, 'bother and blow'.
OR Bugger, bum and poop!
George has just deigned to come back in and guess what he's been in another fight.
