Sometime around '85/'86 while I was attending "Da U" I bought a '71 Cadillac Eldorado for $100. It was long, white, and clean, and the engine ran ran pretty smoothly, but "the transmission is shot" according to the seller. Long story short: After replacing the missing bolts in the torque converter I drove that thing all summer long!
