Let's get the facts straight. You made the unsupported claim that the limit of human hearing is 20-bit level resloution.
In said maybe because I do not know. But you somehow know. And since you are so big on science, why don't you show me the science that backs up your claim. Of course, you have no science. Otherwise you wouldn't read a lying piece of junk rag like Stereophile.
And you made the bogus claim that the CD has 20-bit resolution.I am anything but an expert on digital audio. But I have ears. The CD, "20-bit" or otherwise, does not have high enough resolution to be considered hi-fi. It is a mid-fi format, suitable for non-discriminating listening.
Low noise-floor is great. But it is meaningless if the format leaves out half of the information that makes up the music.
