I'm don't know what "re-dithering" is, relative to just plain "dithering"..... A CD is either encoded with dither or encoded without it.

"But re-dithering has improved since then - now it's 20."

Stereophile's "deviation from linearity" measurements suggest that the opposite has taken place- The low-level tracking of dithered CDs is *worse* in recently-released products, relative to products produced 10 to 15 years ago.
