I have run my 2.5s with my Moondogs, and even with my parafeed 45 amps. Very nice, beautiful sound with the 'dogs, but not the thing for cranking up big loud music- big orchestral, Zep, Who, Steve Vai, but on smaller scale, chamber, acoustic and classical guitar, female vocals, it's a beautiful combo. And that's with MUCH less power than the Laurels. Let me play around some more with this combo and I'll report back. And maybe I'll finish my Laurels. I have a feeling they'd be more appropriate for the ProAcs.

I've used these speakers with a variety of amps over the five years I've had them; triode Dyna Mk IIIs from Kevin Kennedy, rebuilt HK cit II with musicaps and KT90s, Fisher 500C, X100B, X200, 400, Scott 299, Van Alstine SS Omega something (I forget), Hafler 500 watt monoblocks. None were very exciting at all, but I find the 2.5s finally get my attention with single ended triodes. But I've found that's true with any speaker; SETs just seem to communicate much more to me, of what it is I need to get from listening to music at home.

Have fun!
