You know, if you really need help with kits, you'll get the same answers you always had from Ron. Likely, he'll have more time for you than when running the forum.
Also, there's Tube-DIY, with the possible drawback being that the information might be more general and that you might learn a bit more about this hobby (and why Ron's gear is so good).
Likely, the people most inclined to help you will be spending more time there anyway so this will probably just end up being a change of venue as far as community based support is concerned.
