Let me restate what I originally posted:

What I meant to say was in comparison to shunt wired controls that I have on hand I heard no odd things (ie: noise, distortion HF roll off etc....) Sound wise it is totally transparent, sonic "artifact-less".
As the old guy who used to run Chrysler used to say: "if you can find a better attenuator, buy it".
