Sorry that you won't reconsider your decision, but, that is your call. Over the weekend I did a little research and I see you went on line with the forum in Sept of 2000. Quite a while to host the forum. I also get the impression that activity grew for a while, peaked then declined. I can certainly understand your dismay.

I still plan to buy more toys from Welborne, since I can generally correct my errors on kits, so guess I will muddle through. But, what about those others (newbees?) that surely will buy some of your gear? It is nice to have a manufacture-supplier specific forum to discuss things, bounce ideas. (as pointed out by others, perhaps Welborne designs are too well designed ie: goof proof?) There is the Tube Asylum but some of those guys want to talk about the sonics of tubes manufactured Lunar eclipses ;-)

Finally, let me say that the Welborne Remote Attenuator is the "Kattz Azzz". Works great and I can not detect any difference between a Alps Black Beauty or my brass encased stepped attenuator built on a 26 position dual rotary switch (built by my buddy Sheldon @ SDS Labs). I strongly recommend this to anyone with a hankering for a stepped attenuator. Heck, for about the same price as a Dale resistor equipped Goldpoint, you can have remote control with mute with the Welborne design!

Glad I bought it!

Thanks Ron!
