I suppose you are talking about the Cardas GRFA connectors. The advantage is the rca body, which is the ground, is soldered to instead of cinching a separate tab to the body. A better connection? maybe.It does require a lot of heat. I just hook the ground wire through one of the slots and solder. No need to go all of the way around the body.
