They seem really hi-quality tho', is there an advantage to the circular ground channel as opposed to just a solder tab?

I've never seen a ground such as these have for the DRD. I stripped about 2" and ran the wire in one slot then half way around and out the other hoping the corners of the slot would have some "grip". Still feel like I glued the wire with solder.
