On the mini-amp webpage it indicates that one could put an RIAA filter between two mini-amps and produce a phonostage. I currently have a PS5/Mini-Amp preamp following the Welborne design of some RCAs, a selector switch and a volume control. I was thinking of including a phono stage in this design. Being as cheap as I am, I was wondering if I could get away with putting the phono stage into my preamp by doing the following:

1) Buy another pair of mini-amps
2) Run the phono imput through these new mini-amps
3) Run this amplified signal through an RIAA filter
4) Put this signal through my remaining preamp circuitry (selector switch, volume knob, then the other mini-amp).

Basically I want to only buy one more pair of mini-amps instead of two and some more power supply equipment...can it be done? Any other suggestions?
