Same pin out is a bit different then the same electrical characteristics. Now, if it proves out that the tube is an electrical sub, I am all for cooler looking tubes than the rather homely 6AC7.

That site does not contain the tube parameters. I have a tube substitution handbook that shows the 6CA7 as a sub for the 6AC7.
